Qualche giorno fa vi ho parlato del SAL 2013 di Maryse, che la mia amica
Chiara mi ha fatto conoscere. In pochissimo tempo ho scelto il lino ed il filato, tutto rigorosamente dalle mie scorte:

A few days ago I talked about the SAL 2013 from Maryse, known thank to my friend Chiara. In no time I chose linen and threads, all strictly from my stash:
Lino Belfast 32 ct. Dark Coffee di Zweigart e Mulinè Hand Overdyed ThreadworX 10301 - Samson.
Sembrano fatti per stare insieme. Il filato mi strapiace perché, anche se dalla foto non si percepisce, ha proprio il colore delle perle, cioè un panna con sfumature beige e rosa appena accennate.
The color of fabric and thread seem to be born to live together. I love the thread in particular because, even if the pic doesn't show it in the best way, it has just the color of the pearls, which is a cream with shades of beige and light pink.
Le altre due matassine le ho accostate perchè alla fine potrei decidere di ricamare l'iniziale che si realizzerà nel riquadro centrale dello schema con un colore diverso. Molto probabilmente userò la matassina centrale (il colore si chiama Cactus Flower).
I have put together the other two skeins because at the end I could decide to stitch the F (I'm Fiore), which will take place in the center, with a different color. It could be the one in the middle, named Cactus Flower.
Insomma, alla fine, un punto tira l'altro e tra un po' e finisco la prima tappa. So, at the end, a point leads to another and in a little I'm about to complete the first step.
Il bordo ed i nove riquadri li realizzerò in corso d'opera, perché mi sono iscritta da poco mentre chi lo ha fatto da ottobre scorso ha avuto tutto il tempo di prepararli.
I'll fulfill the board and the nine frames by the way, because I joined this SAL recently and so had no time to stitch them (Maryse organized this project last October and sent the pattern to stitch them before the first step).
Qualche altro scatto, giusto per cercare - invano - di catturare la bellezza del filato!

Niente! Quello che sicuramente si vede sono i numerosi difetti della Zweigart. Purtroppo non avevo abbastanza lino Florentia naturale di Passione Ricamo a mia disposizione o, meglio, è centellinato per altri progetti in cantiere da tempo!
Nothing! What you see is definitely the numerous defects of Zweigart fabric. Unfortunately I did not have enough natural linen Florentia from Passione Ricamo, because it's all sipped for other projects in the pipeline for a long time!
Ora provo con le perle della nonna!

Carolyn, le cui foto mi lasciano sempre incantata.
I urgently need a SLR camera, like the one used by my friend Carolyn, whose photos always leave me spellbound.
Un'altra cosa che sicuramente urge fare è impormi di stirare la stoffa prima di fare le foto ai miei lavori in corso. Odio farlo, ma mi vergogno di pubblicare delle foto così trascurate! Se Carolyn passasse di qui, innorridirebbe! Another thing that I must do is forcing myself to iron the fabric before making the pictures. I hate ironing, but I'm ashamed to post so neglected photos! If Carolyn passed here, she would horrify!
