Il mio taccuino delle idee - My notebook of ideas

La mia mente è più veloce delle mie mani. Ho sempre milioni di progetti e di idee che mi balenano nella mente, che nascono così dal nulla, ma niente tempo per realizzarle.

Da qualche mese ho istituito un "taccuino delle idee", un quadernetto molto personale dove annoto tutto quello che mi viene in mente ma non posso realizzare per mancanza di tempo. Per lo meno mi sarà utile quando andrò in pensione, perchè allora sarò troppo vecchia per ricordarmi di tutto ;-) e i progetti ideati saranno così tanti da non poter essere più ricordati ;-D !!!!

My mind is faster than my hands. I've always millions of projects and ideas that flash through my mind, that arise out of the blue, but no time to implement them.
A few months ago I set up a "notebook of ideas," a very personal notebook where I record everything that comes into my head but I can't make due to lack of time. At least it will be useful when I retire, because then I will be too old to remember all ;-) and projects designed will be so many that they can not be remembered ;-D !!!!

Nel frattempo, però, non voglio pensarci sennò mi scoraggio. E poi ho un forte mal di testa, meglio rilassarsi navigando tra i blog delle mie amiche e gustarmi un bel cappuccino coi fiocchi nella mia nuova tazza shabby (vi piace? era da anni che la cercavo senza dover spendere un capitale e finalmente ieri l'ho trovata!)

In the meantime, however, I do not think about it or else I discouraged. And then I have a severe headache, better relax browsing the blog of my friends and savor a nice cappuccino in my new shabby cup (you like? I was looking for it for years without having to spend a fortune and finally yesterday I found it!)

Anzi, tra poco vado a fare una bella crostata! Ve la mosgtro domani! Soon I'm going to make a good pie! I'll show you tomorrow!

Un benvenuto anche a Jerry, mia nuova lettrice. Non so nulla di lei, perchè non mi ha ancora lasciato nessun commento. Speriamo che presto si faccia viva.

La pesca agli UFO! Fishing in my UFO's bag!

Ho tanti di quegli UFO che gridano ad alta voce dalla mia borsa. Sono riuscita a completare queste due scatoline di Sajou. Nel frattempo la pesca agli UFO continua, chissà se non riesco a completare qualche altra cosa!

I have so many UFOs! They scream from my UFO's bag. I finally finished these two little Sajou boxes. In the meanwhile the "fishing" in my UFO's bag goes on, I wonder if I can complete some other cross stitch works!

Plaid Sajou - Sajou blancket

Meraviglioso questo lino Sajou e superbi i filati Retors du Nord, scorrono che è una meraviglia, con una brillantezza pari alla seta anche se la foto non rende bene.

A dire la verità, manca ancora qualche punto alla S, ma ora provvedo subito prima che mi venga voglia di crocettare altro (oramai ho così tanti lavori in corso, troppi!)

Wonderful this linen from Sajou, gorgeous Retors du Nord threads, they seem to fly on the linen by themselves, so smooth, so bright like the silk. The picture doesn't show the real beauty of the materials.
The S letter needs some stitches actually, I'll do it right now, before I have the wish to work for an other project (I'm in the midst of so many projects!)

Come una formichina ... Like a little ant...

... ho raccolto un pò alla volta quasi tutti i materiali della Sajou che mi servono per realizzare un plaid da utilizzare sul letto o sul divano d'estate:
- la confezione completa dei filati Sajou Retors du Nord nella loro bella scatola e le cartine avvolgifilo o nastro (offerta di due anni e mezzo fa),
- gli album rossi n. 902 e 903, che contengono gli schemi dei famosi e coloratissimi cartoncini avvolgifilo Sajou,
- le forbicine tipo madreperla sono il prodotto che ho scelto in regalo su Casacenina un anno e mezzo fa, certo non sono strettamente necessarie per il lavoro ma sono così belle,
- la stoffa a quadri di lino blu e naturale è attualmente in offerta al 50% del suo prezzo di listino sul sito di Sajou.
Mi mancano ancora: il nastro per il bordo e la stoffa per il retro, ma sono sulla buona strada.
Intanto ho tutto il necessario per cominciare questa nuova avventura, che sogno da tanto tempo.
Un grazie particolare a Carolyn Dew della Maison Sajou, un'inglese trapiantata a Versailles con la quale sono intercorse parecchie email perchè avevo bisogno di aiuto e di informazioni per il mio progetto. Io purtroppo non parlo Francese ma solo Inglese e, quindi, la presenza di Carolyn è stata provvidenziale. A Carolyn ed al suo Capo, di cui non conosco il nome, va un mio particolare ringraziamento e la promessa che riceveranno le foto del mio lavoro.

... I put aside little by little all I need to create a Sajou coverlet to use on summer for my bed or sofa:
- all the Sajou Retors du Nord threads, in their nice box, ribbon and thread cards (two years and a half ago Sajou offer),
- red albums n. 902 and 903, for the patters of the famous and colourful thread cards,
- mother of pearl style scissors (Casacenina one year and a half ago), they certainly are not indispensable for my project, but they're so cute ;-)
- checkered blue and ecru linen (now on sale at 50% on Sajou.fr).
Now I need the backing fabric and the ribbon for each side, but I'm on the right way.
Anyway, now I have all I need to begin this new adventure.
I have to thank a lot M.me Carolyn Dew of Sajou Maison, an English woman who lives in Versailles. I was lucky to find her because, unfortunately, I don't speak French, only English and she was so kind to give me all the information I need for my project.
To Carolyn and her Boss - I don't know her name but I suppose she's a woman - go my special thanks and the promise to send them the photos of my work.
